Daniel Schmalen, VP Marketing

Dan brings a broad background of over 30 years of marketing, advertising and sales promotions experience in retail lighting, OEM lighting design, manufacturing, and commercial and consumer goods encompassing all facets of strategic & tactical planning, creative development and marketing management. His background includes both big national agency and client side success including national brands like GE, Johnson & Johnson, BEST Lighting Products, Pacific Coast Lighting, Lamps plus and many more. Dan holds a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from Loyola Marymount University, and in 1992 was ranked within the top 5% of those “Exceptionally Creative” by Princeton Creative Research.

Tricia Smith, Director of Inside Sales

Ms. Smith brings over 15-years of extensive inside sales experience in commercial and industrial lighting products. Formerly with the Simkar Corporation in Philadelphia, she served as a key inside sales representative for seven years. Tricia holds an industry reputation for being “the go to person” for product information and prompt accurate quotations. Prior to Simkar, Tricia has over six years in inside sales experience at Colonial Electric and Cooper Electric in the greater Philadelphia market. Tricia holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

James Payne, Vice President of Sales

Jim Payne boasts over 25 years in the lighting industry with Powercon Inc., Pro-Lite and Light Tech in the North East and Mid-Atlantic regions. Jim brings an extensive background in energy audits and turn-key installations for new fixtures and retro-fit projects. Considered “the Expert”, his background includes outside sales and customer service, company management, purchasing and direct project management and holds a degree from Penn State.

Beth Kravitz, Purchasing Manager

Ms. Kravitz’s lighting industry includes purchasing inventory and managing the accounts payable/receivables, expense control, account reconciliation, tax control and inventory control for companies like Cost Less Lighting and EELP, serving in Buyer, Controller and Office Manager positions. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clayton College in Birmingham, Alabama.

Meena Verma, Website Development Manager

In conjunction with our hosting company; IQnection, Meena heads the inside development and content management section of envoylighting.com with a background of over twelve years of internet, web development and graphic design experience. Meena's latest work includes desing and development of Nexus Media, Silvine Inc.,and as well as her own online store Serendipity Styles. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Annamalai University in India.

Gwen Brambani, Controller/Accounting Manager

Ms. Brambani’s oversees all of Envoy’s accounts receivables and payables and brings a broad background of over 10-years experience in purchasing, office management and customer service with companies such as the Custom Manufacturing Corporation, Corro Therm and the Reedman Corporation and holds a degree in Business Administration from Bucks County College.
